RE: st, augustine fl

There is a great campground across the bridge from St. Aug. on the
ocean. Dont remember the name but you should be able to find it in
Woodall's.

Vu Qube for Dish Network

Does anyone have experience with this device. Seems like a good idea cause I have trouble setting up my dish on a tripod and finding
the signal. I am ready to trash the whole setup! This Vu Qube would
also be easier to transport .....

RE: Memphis to Austin, Tx Route 79

thanks for the replies. We are not in a hurry but don't want to
have 1000 stop lights along the way either.

RE: Davis Mountains to Big Bend

Thanks for the great info. I was looking for something else and saw
your post. It helps EVERYONE when we get info like in this post.
We are going to TX in a couple of weeks and were wondering how
to work in Big Bend to the schedule, but Fort Davis is right
on our route and looks great.

Memphis to Austin, Tx Route 79

Travelling in 2 weeks and wonder if anyone is familiar with
route 79? We want to avoid interstates and it looks like
79 may be a good way south from Memphis...
As always, I appreciate your comments!

RE: 2 things I learned the hard way!

We all learn the hard way. Just backed into my neighbor's TT at
the storage because I was too stubborn to let my wife get out
and guide me in. (A man thing I guess)

RE: regarding camp sites near virginia beach

We stayed at Holiday Trav-L Park last year. Very nice if you like
loud jets flying over every few minutes day and night.
It was windy at that time but have been at Va Bch when hot and
humid. I like the beach and the little town but dont like all
the jet noise.

RE: Is the coastal route quickest to Myrtle Beach from CT

Last Sept. we went from Cape Cod to Raleigh, NC. Found the part from NY down the
NJ pky the VERY, VERY worst. I 95 south from there was a breeze. If you want speed, go the interstate. If you want scenery, dont.

RE: Florida's Southwest Coast Campgrounds?

We are now staying in Royal Coachman (Encore) park in Nokomis, Fla.
Very nice, everyone friendly, close to great beaches.
Tried Port Charlotte (wide open, too much sun) but ok.
In naples, KOA but was way too crowded (small sites).
Naples is beautiful, but we liked Bonita Beach for beauty.
Woodalls doesn't have many cg's but we found many online and in local brochures.
Would recommend www.floridacamping.com.
I am looking at their printed directory right now and their online is probably good, too.

RE: Fort Wilderness, Disneyworld Jan 2008

I agree with frankandvicki, you will miss a lot. the transport. is worth the extra cost (not really more than other cg in area). We stayed at KOA Fort Summit a few days waiting to go to Ft W. OK, but not really Fla. camping.
Near interstate, wide open spaces.
If going to Disney, definitely buy a multiday, park hopper pass. Worth the money. Come on down to Naples and Ft Myers beaches after DW. We are there now and the beaches are great.
